About Sanjiangyuan ('Source of Three Rivers')
Sanjiangyuan is an area of the Tibetan Plateau in Qinghai province, China which contains the headwaters of three great rivers of Asia: the Yellow, the Yangtze, and the Mekong. It is important to protect the water and environment of Sanjiangyuan, because it affects everyone in East Asia using the water from the three great rivers.
